Forging the Future with new Project Engineers.
We’re excited to announce the arrival of two new Project Engineers, Simeon Conway-Jones and Dr. Sarthak Mahapatra, who both start with us on Monday, August 18th. Their expertise will be a fantastic addition to our growing team and will help drive forward key projects.
Simeon Conway-Jones, Project Engineer
Simeon joins us with several years of engineering experience, having studied at the University of Bristol. In his new role, he will be helping to manage and deliver commercial development projects, working closely with the design and development engineering teams. Reporting to Nick Henry, Simeon is expected to initially focus on a number of our ongoing wheels projects.
“I am really excited to be delving into the world of high performance composites with the CTS team, and helping to scale up their innovative process technologies.
My background in the last few years has been in process engineering and automation, taking new technologies from bench top rigs to demonstrator machines that show industry scalability.” Said Simeon.

Dr. Sarthak Mahapatra, Project Engineer, R&D
We also extend a warm welcome to Dr. Sarthak Mahapatra, who will be joining the Research and Development (R&D) team. Sarthak comes to us from the Bristol Composites Institute, where he specialized in advanced composite materials. He will be taking the lead on the HIRACOS project, which involves rotor blades and aircraft wheels. In addition to this, Sarthak will provide crucial support for other grant-funded R&D initiatives and may also assist with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulations. Sarthak will be reporting to Andy Smith.
“I’m looking forward to working with the talented team here at Carbon ThreeSixty and being part of the journey to develop the next generation of composite technologies.” Said Sarthak.
