The event also attracted the attention of local Member of Parliament, Sarah Gibson. The MP stopped by the Carbon ThreeSixty stand to learn more about the company’s work and its engagement with young people in the region. Ms. Gibson chatted with Mr. Ellaway and Mr. Guo about the importance of fostering local talent in STEM fields and posed for a photograph with the team.

For students, it provides a valuable opportunity to explore diverse career paths, understand different industry sectors, and connect directly with potential future employers. They gain firsthand insights into the skills and qualifications needed for various roles, helping them make informed decisions about their education and future careers.
For Carbon ThreeSixty, these events are a vital part of their talent pipeline strategy and community engagement. “Attending local careers events is essential for us to connect with the next generation of engineers, designers, and technicians,” said Tom Ellaway. “It allows us to showcase the exciting and innovative work happening right here in Wiltshire and inspire students to consider careers in advanced composites.”
He added, “Having Benson with us, who is currently experiencing our industry through his placement, offers a relatable and authentic perspective for the students. It demonstrates the real-world opportunities available through work placements and graduate roles.”
By participating, Carbon ThreeSixty not only aims to attract future employees but also raises its profile within the local community and strengthens its ties with educational institutions like Wiltshire College and the University of Bath, ensuring a continued flow of skilled individuals into the region’s advanced manufacturing sector.
