Carbon ThreeSixty Attends Parliamentary Reception

London, UK; 2 May 2023.  Carbon ThreeSixty (CTS), were this week honoured to attend a Parliamentary Reception at the Palace of Westminster, for an event organised by Composites UK Trade Association. The UK composites sector is worth £10.72 billion PA and provides over 47,000 high value jobs.

The event was organised to  highlight how the composites sector can bring together world leading science, engineering and innovation skills which are fundamental to achieving the UK’s transformation to a low carbon future and, along the way, creating thousands of new skilled jobs.

David Bailey, CEO of Composites UK provided an excellent overview of the state of the UK Composites industry, worth £10.72billion and providing over 47,000 high value jobs, whilst also being a key technology to assist in the decarbonisation of numerous manufacturing sectors driving the UK to reach net zero. David was joined by Giles Watling (MP for Clacton) and Richard Holden (Parliamentary Under Secretary of State – Roads and Local Transport) who both exemplified the importance of the future of the UK Composites industry for meeting Net Zero targets.

Giles Watling MP said “It was a pleasure to host Composites UK in Parliament yesterday to hear from Richard Holden MP about the importance of the work the composites industry is doing, as well as examine the challenges facing this rapidly-growing sector.”

Adam Black commented “To attend a prestigious event in esteemed company representing Carbon Threesixty and Composites UK was a privilege and proves that the UK composites industry is key in influencing growth both technologically and economically”

The event was organised to raise the profile of the UK Composites industry within Government to show the importance of investment into this sector for security of future jobs, skills and economic growth. 100+ influential personnel from the UK Composites industry joined Ed Allnutt and Adam Black at the event.
